He who has begun a good work...

"He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." Phillipians 1:6

This scripture has been an encouragement to me right throughout my life. Many times situations have come up that I
truly thought God was finished with me because I found myself in circumstances that were screaming out my failure.
The great thing is that God is never finished with us. He begins the work in us and will complete it until the day He comes back.
There may be dreams that you have had in your heart from the time you were a child, that you thought were finished.
Don't give up, because God knows the desires of your heart and delights in giving them to you. God has a strong passion to see His work complete in us and for us to live life in abundance. The enemy always wants us to think that we have no future and that life is over for us. Don't believe him. If you have had a desire to get a degree all your life, then bring it to the Lord, He makes a way where there is no way. Maybe you have desired a partner in marriage. God knows your deepest longings and loves to give you the good things in life.

I had come to a point in my 30s, where I really thought that I had failed that much, that God had finished with me. The devil really wanted me to believe that. Not only had God not finished with me, He showed me He was only
getting me started in the life that lay ahead. He has given me a life worth living, a future filled with restoration and completeness. Never ever ever believe it is over. God will complete you UNTIL HIS RETURN.
Have a blessed week and know that good things are in store.

Doing our Part

Many times we feel overwhelmed with the amount of need we are faced with. It seems everyday we hear about
someone else worse off than ourselves.
Jesus was faced with need every where He looked. At the pool of Bethesda he healed the lame man. The significant thing in this story is that there were many sick, lame and needy people at that pool, but Jesus only healed the one man, WHY?
I believe it is because His heavenly Father had revealed to Him to heal that one person on that day at that place.
When I was young in the ministry, I would be so moved by people's needs that my emotions would be constantly heavy with the weight of hurt and pain I carried for others. I would bring everyone into my home and try to minister to them. However I neglected to pray and ask God who does HE want me to reach out to? So I ended up having a lot of people in my life that wanted everything that I could give them, without wanting Jesus or to change for the better. The end result was burn out.
Jesus said that He only did the things that His Father showed Him and told Him. He faced everyday, AFTER He had spent time with His Heavenly Father, KNOWING what God had for Him that day. He was never taken off guard, manipulated into doing stuff. He never gave out of compulsion and He didn't say yes when all He really wanted to do is say no.
God has a part to play for all of us and His measure of grace for what He has called us to do. It is the enemy's tatic to come at us with condemnation about not doing enough. He wants us to burn out and be Marthas. God commissions and annoints us to do what He has called us to do. Our goal should be to pray about everything and obey His desires for our lives. When we do that, we focus on His strength in our life not our weakness.
Have a blessed week filled with God's appointments for you.
Blessings PS Dani
