Pure in Heart!

The word says in Matthew 5:8, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”
When I looked up the word pure, it actually means, without mixture.
The word always talks about our Christian life being compared to gold and its level of purity. With gold, the more pure it becomes the more precious, soft and malleable it is.
It is the same with our hearts, as we eliminate the "mixture" in our hearts, our hearts become softer towards the Lord and we grow in understanding of His way of doing and being.

Dynamite becomes extremely powerful if you focus its energy. If it is placed in an open field it has a minor level of explosion power because its energy is scattered. However if it is placed under the floor boards of a house it has dynamic, super effective power, because its energy has been focused or harnessed.
It is the same with us. When we remove "mixture" out of our lives and focus our energy and attention on the things of God, by prioritizing our time, we see our level of effectiveness grow in every area. God is so faithful as we do our part in seeking God’s kingdom first, He makes everyday life work for us by accomplishing things on our behalf.
I have seen as I take time with the Lord first everyday that the rest of my day works because He organizes it. When I have my attention going in every direction but on the Lord, my energy is completely sapped and I become ineffective.
Sometimes life can be very distracting as everyone wants our attention, housework cries out to be done, ministry preparation is needed and a million other things want our time.
I find the best way is to run to our Heavenly Father first thing and let Him organize the rest of the day.

My desire for my future is to continue to remove "mixture" out of my life with the Holy Spirit’s help and to love the Lord my God with all my heart, soul and emotions, so that He is my total focus. As the word says we see God. This means to have intimate knowledge of Him and an awareness of His greatness.

Have a blessed week.
