Have you ever found life messy. You think you have it all sorted and
everything turns out topsy turvy. Well what I love about Jesus is that He
specialises in making messages out of messes. He takes the big ball of mess
and unravels it one string at a time.
The word says that the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord and He
delights and busies Himself with every one of our steps. This means that God
already has every step set in place....we just have to take time enough to
acknowledge HIM in ALL of our ways, then His promise is that He will direct
our paths.
We start out life thinking we can do it all. We are going here, achieving this,
going to earn that, be as famous as so and so and after a while of hitting a
few brick walls, we either give up and feel sorry for ourselves, mope around
bemoaning our fate, or finally get a bit of sense and realise we better
start acknowledging God and find out His plan for our lives.
Well for quite a few years I really was very confused; wondering why my life
was one big emotional roller coaster. Every so often I would find a new
passion which would satisfy for a little while, then the doldrums would come
again. I really did not want to be in ministry or follow Godʼs call on my life
because I feared judgement, criticism and ultimately failure. I did discover
though that I was miserable running around after my own plan and not
following the Lords. Well when I had enough of feeling yuk and finally said
God change me, make me the person you want me to be. Well that was the
beginning of a new life. He demolished the old thinking patterns and built a
new foundation of grace and total reliance on Him and His ability.
For the first time I actually began to enjoy life because I was following Godʼs
ultimate plan.
Have a blessed week and know that His plan for you great and God is waiting
for you to become His next trophy of Grace.

He who has begun a good work...
"He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." Phillipians 1:6
This scripture has been an encouragement to me right throughout my life. Many times situations have come up that I
truly thought God was finished with me because I found myself in circumstances that were screaming out my failure.
The great thing is that God is never finished with us. He begins the work in us and will complete it until the day He comes back.
There may be dreams that you have had in your heart from the time you were a child, that you thought were finished.
Don't give up, because God knows the desires of your heart and delights in giving them to you. God has a strong passion to see His work complete in us and for us to live life in abundance. The enemy always wants us to think that we have no future and that life is over for us. Don't believe him. If you have had a desire to get a degree all your life, then bring it to the Lord, He makes a way where there is no way. Maybe you have desired a partner in marriage. God knows your deepest longings and loves to give you the good things in life.
I had come to a point in my 30s, where I really thought that I had failed that much, that God had finished with me. The devil really wanted me to believe that. Not only had God not finished with me, He showed me He was only
getting me started in the life that lay ahead. He has given me a life worth living, a future filled with restoration and completeness. Never ever ever believe it is over. God will complete you UNTIL HIS RETURN.
Have a blessed week and know that good things are in store.

Doing our Part
Many times we feel overwhelmed with the amount of need we are faced with. It seems everyday we hear about
someone else worse off than ourselves.
Jesus was faced with need every where He looked. At the pool of Bethesda he healed the lame man. The significant thing in this story is that there were many sick, lame and needy people at that pool, but Jesus only healed the one man, WHY?
I believe it is because His heavenly Father had revealed to Him to heal that one person on that day at that place.
When I was young in the ministry, I would be so moved by people's needs that my emotions would be constantly heavy with the weight of hurt and pain I carried for others. I would bring everyone into my home and try to minister to them. However I neglected to pray and ask God who does HE want me to reach out to? So I ended up having a lot of people in my life that wanted everything that I could give them, without wanting Jesus or to change for the better. The end result was burn out.
Jesus said that He only did the things that His Father showed Him and told Him. He faced everyday, AFTER He had spent time with His Heavenly Father, KNOWING what God had for Him that day. He was never taken off guard, manipulated into doing stuff. He never gave out of compulsion and He didn't say yes when all He really wanted to do is say no.
God has a part to play for all of us and His measure of grace for what He has called us to do. It is the enemy's tatic to come at us with condemnation about not doing enough. He wants us to burn out and be Marthas. God commissions and annoints us to do what He has called us to do. Our goal should be to pray about everything and obey His desires for our lives. When we do that, we focus on His strength in our life not our weakness.
Have a blessed week filled with God's appointments for you.

THE RIGHT FOUNDATION
Some years ago I embarked on the construction of a brand new house with our own design, help from friends and a great line-up of tradesmen and contractors.
The contractor who was digging the foundations decided we needed to dig deep in order to support the two storey structure. We used 30 tonnes of concrete! Although it was costly, we knew a solid foundation was essential.
Hebrews 11:3 says, “By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things that are seen are not made of things which are visible.” Everything in our lives either stands or falls, based on the unseen foundations in us. The Bible says that only the Word of God can be the sure foundation that holds our lives together. Speak God’s Word over your plans and desires and watch your future become sure and unshakeable.

Pure in Heart!
The word says in Matthew 5:8, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”
When I looked up the word pure, it actually means, without mixture.
The word always talks about our Christian life being compared to gold and its level of purity. With gold, the more pure it becomes the more precious, soft and malleable it is.
It is the same with our hearts, as we eliminate the "mixture" in our hearts, our hearts become softer towards the Lord and we grow in understanding of His way of doing and being.
Dynamite becomes extremely powerful if you focus its energy. If it is placed in an open field it has a minor level of explosion power because its energy is scattered. However if it is placed under the floor boards of a house it has dynamic, super effective power, because its energy has been focused or harnessed.
It is the same with us. When we remove "mixture" out of our lives and focus our energy and attention on the things of God, by prioritizing our time, we see our level of effectiveness grow in every area. God is so faithful as we do our part in seeking God’s kingdom first, He makes everyday life work for us by accomplishing things on our behalf.
I have seen as I take time with the Lord first everyday that the rest of my day works because He organizes it. When I have my attention going in every direction but on the Lord, my energy is completely sapped and I become ineffective.
Sometimes life can be very distracting as everyone wants our attention, housework cries out to be done, ministry preparation is needed and a million other things want our time.
I find the best way is to run to our Heavenly Father first thing and let Him organize the rest of the day.
My desire for my future is to continue to remove "mixture" out of my life with the Holy Spirit’s help and to love the Lord my God with all my heart, soul and emotions, so that He is my total focus. As the word says we see God. This means to have intimate knowledge of Him and an awareness of His greatness.
Have a blessed week.
