Anointed for Life!

Only days before His arrest a woman came into the house where Jesus was. Without explanation, she poured the most expensive perfume from a beautiful jar that she broke to open and anointed Jesus. Some of the people there were very angry and accused her action as being wasteful. Jesus defended her, saying she had done this to anoint Him for His burial. (Mark 14:3) In the time we live in, everything is expensive. Most families cannot 'survive' on a single wage and people struggle to 'make a living'. When it comes to the things of God, there simply isn't enough left of our resources to be spent. As your pastor, I want to challenge you to 'waste' your time, your energy, your money and even your life on Jesus and the things He holds dear. Let's be 'wasteful' in our passion to touch people around us with the 'Fragrance of Christ'. Let me encourage you to spare no expense finding out what it is God wants you to do and then 'waste all' to do it! You are the 'dispenser' of your life, no one else is. The most costly thing we can give Him is our time. The person who is busy with 'making ends meet', 'doing hobbies' and 'pleasing people' simply has little time left to 'waste' on the Presence of God. If you risk wasting time getting to know Him, your life will not be wasted!
